Scheme and permitted statements
CPD Global is the private course-quality assessment and certification brand operated by MARTIN WOLF LTD. The scheme is voluntary and course-specific. It does not award university degrees, professional licences or statutory qualifications, and certification does not guarantee acceptance by any employer, regulator or professional body.
CPD College is run by a separately owned limited company, with no cross-shareholding or ownership rights reported between the two companies (not yet verified). Their business partnership is a potentially relevant conflict that must be disclosed and managed.
Review lifecycle
Register an application and check version, dossier and relationship disclosures; screen eligibility; assign a competent, conflict-checked assessor who records criterion scores and evidence in FRM-01; seek corrections where needed; an authorised decision-maker with no disqualifying conflict records the final decision separately from sales and payment; a certificate is issued only after approval and added to the register.
Decision categories
Approved — active; Remediation required; Declined; Deferred; Suspended; Withdrawn / expired. Only an approved, active decision permits use of the mark.
Duration, changes and renewal
Proposed certificate validity is up to 12 months from the issue date, subject to earlier withdrawal for material changes or breach. The approved scope is the exact course version reviewed. Renewal requires current evidence and a fresh review and decision; there is no automatic renewal for payment. Payment is not proof of certification.
Seal, certificates and registry
The gold CPD Global rosette is a brand and certification mark, not a sign of government recognition. It may be displayed only where a current, verifiable decision authorises it. Course-certification certificates are separate from CPD College learner completion certificates; a learner who completes a course is not personally “CPD accredited”.
Entry into force
This policy remains a draft until a signed director’s resolution formally approves it, named roles are assigned, brand and legal checks are addressed and operational safeguards pass testing.
CPD Global is operated by MARTIN WOLF LTD (company no. 14466857), registered in England and Wales. It is a private course-quality assessment service and does not claim official government recognition or third-party accreditation. Certification is not currently operational.
